Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. In 2016, she joined ESPN. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. Since she was nine years old, Collins's capacity to converse in two languages led to her obtaining a job in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. Also, she was often requested to fill in as anchors for the weather and sports. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed more responsibilities. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. She worked as the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. In the same role for the network's magazine show Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. Her birth date was November 22nd on the 22nd of October, 1984 in Mexico City. There is a sister. The family moved to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. Her parents divorced within a short time and in the year 1995, she got married to a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. She stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer and was offered an opportunity to work. Antonietta who was in high school who had a vision of how she would like her life to be like, visited Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she wanted. After completing her studies, she was accepted into the University with a degree of media studies. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was member of her class, developed an ongoing relationship with her. His passion for journalism and her self-confidence instilled confidence in her. She in turn attempted to live up to the standards he set and to not fail him.
